FIFA10 – Xbox 360 review:

Working on their best football game for years. EA are stepping it up a level for 2010. Showing the true beauty  and potential EA are ready for its next FIFA instalment.

FIFA 10 is looking to be improving on its predecessor (FIFA 09) . Also EA is calling fans to review the product in the studio to help cure any flaws and try and top its rival PES.

An interview with FiFA’s British producer David Rutter:

What changes about FIFA 10 do you want to make clear to FIFA Fans?

Rutter: Four things. One is to remove little errors in the game like; goalkeeping errors, trapping mistakes, positioning, bad passes. To get a good quality error free game.

Another was to release a beta in some countries and for people to test the early builds of the game and tell us what mattered to them.

Thirdly we’ve added some time and effort to make the dribbling better .We have some new tricks like the 360-degree dribbling in this release. Skill dribbling has been improved and a new physical play system has been added to make dibbling more realistic. We wanted to give people more freedom and be able to express their skills with the ball but didn’t want to get carried away with just dribbling and make FIFA an only dribbling game.

Finally we want to improve the Manager Mode as it was slightly lacking of features for us last year. We need to start added some major improvements into the Manager Mode to make it more interesting and realistic as it has been very similar for the last 4 consecutive years.

Can you explain some more on the problems you would like to remove?

Rutter: Absolutely. The problems have been annoying and reoccurring. A problem we have faced over and over again is the lofted through ball. Which were free tickets to one on one shots. If you have won a corner and your defenders have run up. If the corner would be taken poorly and landed to a decent player he would be able to set a lofted through ball straight into the strikers feet which causes a one on one opportunity for your opponent.
